Nashville,Tennessee
For my family, excitement is in the air! My family and I will be going to Nashville.I'm excited!! We'll go to the remaking of the Parthonon, and the Hermitage!!! I know, really weird, but I can't wait to go to the Hermitage (Andrew Jackson's plantation home). We'll also be going to mini golf and go carts! The Hotel we're staying at isn't the Hilton or anything downtown. We're going to the Drury Inn. Sounds like Dreary Inn doesn't it? We went a couple of years ago though and loved it. It isn't in the bustling center of the city, but is in a nice place right near Nashville, and is quiet enough to rest. What's even better? FREE GOLDFISH!! (LOL) They have a pool and free goldfish, what more could I want?!

Is Blogging Worthwhile?
YES! Blogging is completely worthwhile. In blogging you can express your feelings and add personality to your writing.I think that blogging is more global. People from all over the world can see your writing and the topics your writing about.Blogging is easier and funner at times because you can personilize your page and things on it. I think that if you blog then you'll have better grammar and a new hobby. So if you don't have a blog, GET ONE! There are so many fun things in blogging that you will enjoy!
Happy Blogging!

Dear Next Years Class...
Well, next years class, I'm a bit jealous. Mrs.Ewing and Mrs. Hartness are the best teachers you could hope for and your going to have tons of fun! Just remember, what your learning now will really help you out in sixth grade! Everything they teach you will have meaning! You'll wish that you paid attention in math at the beginning when you're doing fractions. I think that if you give it your all and do your best then you will suceed in 5th grade. I know that when you first get the room you want to talk to friends and say, "Oh my gosh! Look at that worksheet!" but trust me be as good as you can and pay attention. First impressions matter!! If you do something that's going to upset the teachers then they won't trust you. Trustworthiness is hard to earn back after you lose it.
So I hope I have given you some advice about what your getting ready to dive into!
*Hannah*

In Front of a Crowd
Today at church I played "Ode to Joy" on the flute. I was so scared! My legs were jelly and I couldn't think! My dad (who was preaching) introduced me then I went up. I sat my music down on the side of the pulpit (podium), my dad turned the microphone towards me and I started playing. I really don't remember what happened next. I was so nervous I didn't know what to do.
Trust me, when you're a preacher's kid, you have pressure to get up and do things like playing the flute or singing. Now, it's kind of regular to do. I'm okay with it though. If it's pleasing to God I shouldn't be nervous at all.

Advice for the Upcoming Fifth Graders!!
I remember when I first came to 5th grade. I was terrified! My head spun and I was overwelmed. But I came to know that if I tried hard enough, I'd be okay. When I came into the fifth grade I made the mistake of thinking, I'm so scared! There are lockers and changing classes. How will I survive?!?!? I'm sure many of you feel like you're entering an alternate universe, a world not known to you, that's full of homework and mean teachers. I came to find out though, because I thought that too, that that is all wrong. The homework isn't that bad, and the teachers are terrific! So when you come to 5th grade just do your best, because that's all you can do.

My Favorite Fifth Grade Memory...
My favorite 5th grade memory would be the first day I came in to Mrs.Ewing's classroom. Right when I got in it felt like home. We entered "boot camp" as Mrs. Ewing called it!
Another one of my favorite 5th grade memories was Biltmore. And I'm sure everybody on their blogs will say a little something about Biltmore. It was the fanciest, biggest , and coolset house I had ever been to!! Plus being with your friends made it all the better!
So those are my 5th grade memories.I'm sure when I'm older, I'll remember the times my class and I had together.I know I'll miss 5th grade alot and the awsome teachers we had (and the fun)!

Into the sixth grade
Next year us 5th graders will be going to 6th. I'm sure many of you are going to tell me " Oh, when you get there it's not bad, you have nothing to worry about!"But, if you are in my class than you know that is the BIGGEST lie ever told!! There are 5 things to worry about!
1-New teachers (scary!!)
2-Homework
3-Possibly new kids
4-Things are just going to be flat out hard!
5-The possibility of NONE of your friends being in your class!
So there you go the fully original reasons of being scared of the 6th grade by yours truly, Hannah

Writing vs. Blogging
I think sometimes blogging is better than writing because anyone who wants to can come and look at your blog can. They can be from all over the world. But when your writing you have to publish it for anyone to see. Blogging is so much faster and easier. I think all in all writing and blogging are tied!

Sisters
I have a 15 year old sister. Yes, I know many of you girls would do anything to have an older sister who will give you makeovers and stuff like that. Trust me though, it's not all that great! She hogs the bathroom and is always pleading to do my hair. It's horrible torture! Sometimes we watch movies together. That doesn't end well either. She wants to watch romantic comedies and I want to watch action movies. We love each other even though we get into fights. There is one thing we can agree on though, we disagree!
