I believe that people should not get pets if they're not going to be able to keep them. Even if people do get pets, they should take them to a no kill animal shelter like Petsmart. I went to Petsmart when they were having an adoption drive and all the animals were so cute! People should adopt more pets from our local humane society. If the pets are there too long, the people at the shelter put them down, or kill them. I also think that people should get their pets fixed so they can't have babies. When the pets have babies, sometimes the owners give them to a humane society, or even put them on the street! My aunt was going out the door one time and a dog ran in her house. She named her Ginger and kept her until someone could come get her to take her to a different home. More people should do that instead of taking them to animal shelters.
